Bóthar Liath, or Grey road a townland in this parish has been Anglicised Bird-lea. Boher-lea was first made Bore-lea, next Borlea next Bur-lea, next Bir-lea and lastly Bordlea. They should have made a Bull crane of it, as Quinn has of Cor a tairbh. Your obedient servant, John ODonovan. Navan July 24th, 1836. <br> Lch.80.
