"Pinkman: Bárr-na-Mianach = Summit of the mines. This is on the summit of Slieve-an-Ierin and on the borders of Murhaun an Kiltubrid Parishes. The name originates, I suggest, from the mines for which this mountain is remarkable. Joyce gives Bárr-na-Muimhneach, summit of the Munster men, but I do no think this is correct. "
