"Arch. Inventory : Crannóg (possible). Attached to the N shore of Headford Lough (45). Castle (site). ‘Ballycloran Castle (in Ruins).’ On the W-facing slope of a drumlin. Marked only on the current ed. of the OS 6-inch map. The site is now occupied by a farmyard and there are no visible remains of a castle at ground level. The ruins of Headford House are adjacent (204). Earthwork (site). In pasture on a gentle W-facing slope in a low-lying position.
