the church
giorrúchán < An Chill Bheag “the small church”In ainneoin nach bhfuil aon iarsmaí seandálaíochta san áit seo (féach www.archaeology.ie), is léir ón áit ina bhfuil an comhartha beag eaglasta ar léarscáil an Down Survey ag freagairt do 1660c ‘Gleabe Land in Killbegg’ BSD gurb ionann é is 1638c ‘cæmiterium de Kilbegge iuxta Tenahensy’ [“reilig Kilbegge in aice Thigh na hInse”].
(Tá 1837 ‘Kyle grave yard’ in bf An Ráth Dhubh (#25127) i gContae Chill Dara suite díreach lastoir ó dheas de theorainn bharúntacht Uíbh Fhailí Thiar; cf. Ó Crualaoich, Logainmneacha na hÉireann IV (LG) s.n. Kyle (par. Templeshanbo). Is é bf An Chill Bheag/Kylebeg (#54883) in iarthuaisceart Chontae Chill Mhantáin, mar a bhfuil cloch bhalláin agus iarsmaí eaglasta eile le fáil, an sampla is sia ó thuaidh i gCúige Laighean.)
