the fortification?
B’fhéidir gur brí dhéanach cosúil le ‘fence’ (Dinneen, FGB) atá i dtreis anseo seachas ‘defence work, fortification’ (www.dil.ie). Ritheann an dá bhaile fearainn seo timpeall le 7km ar feadh na teorann idir sean-Laois (bar. Phort Laoise Thiar) agus Osraí (bar. Chuileannaí). Féach go bhfuil bf An Sconsa (#42181) (UF 24) suite ar theorainn bharúntachtaí Bhaile Átha Buí agus Ghéisille i gContae Uíbh Fhailí, 30km slí ó thuaidh.
Mionainmneacha ar an léarscáil:
Ní léir cad is bun leis an gcáilitheoir in Moanameny SO i mbarra an chnoic. Móin na Míne (?) < mín “fine (mountain) pasture”, b’fhéidir? Cf. bf Achadh na Míne (#40995) (Mu 5).
