Lough Gara ... Loch Techet or Dechet
Loch Techet or Dechet, which in latter times is called after O'Gara. Loch Decet whence so named (i.e., answer) erected Suidhe Aedha, over Eas Ruaidh ... after having completed his work he demanded as his wages the produce... of the cataract, and received it and continued in the peaceable enjoyment if it until the sons of Aillill erected a tower to prevent the men of Olnegmact ... from fighting or contending for the produce of Eas Ruadh. Deched (being thus deprived of it) demanded the reward of the work ... and he obtained recompence; meat and strong drink ere sent to Magh Luinge ... and here he lived till one day he drank to such an excess that he ran mad, leaped into the lake and was drowned" - Unde Loch Decet Dicitur. 180-1
