Ní raibh bunús dá laghad ag Seosamh Laoide ‘Imeach’ a mholadh in Post-Sheanchas I (1905) — deir sé in Post-Sheanchas II (1911) gurbh é a bhí ann ‘buille fá thuairim ó ainm atá i litriughadh an tSacsbhéarla’ (sin é is brí leis an nod ‘[B.]’). Ach ghlac Oifig an Phoist leis an bhfoirm sin agus bhí sé fós le fáil in eagrán 1971 de Eolaí an Phoist, in ainneoin go raibh an fhoirm oifigiúil thuas, atá bunaithe ar thaighde cuimsitheach, socraithe in Ainmneacha Gaeilge na mBailte Poist (1969).
