...St. Fintan...There are Stations in his honour on the first Sunday of August...in the Middle Ages there was a wood around here called Caille-Finntain...May it be that the modern Kilfintain represents not Cill-Fintain, Fintain’s Church, but Caille (Coille)-Finntain, the Wood of Finntain?
