Explanatory note
- Gaeilge
the yellow trench
Níl aon chur síos san Fhardal Seandálaíochta ar an gcarraig shuntasach Clashboy Rock SO. Féach an fhoirm Ghaeilge ‘Clais bhuidhe’ a breacadh i bpeann luaidhe san Ainmleabhar ó fhaisnéiseoir darbh ainm ‘Old Walsh’. Fuarthas fuaimniú Gaeilge ón duine céanna seo ar dhornán logainmneacha sa chuid seo den pharóiste in 1838 (#28105, #27897, #27981, #28111, #27985, #27983, #1417562).
Níl an baile fearainn seo ach cúpla míle slí siar ó bf An Fhailligh Bheag Íochtarach (#28176) mar a raibh cónaí ar an gcainteoir dúchais Maoleachlainn (Laurence) Ó Broin. Luann Ó Donnabháin an Breatnach mar údar ar comhchéim leis an mBranach in LSO I 257, agus é ag caint faoi thiarna talún sa cheantar a thug 'Lewis Moore' air féin (#28117): 'I have the testimony of the late Laurence Byrne of Falybeg, and of old Walsh of Timahoe, that his name is Laoighseach O' Mordha'.
