  • English

Clarin River is depicted on the first edition of the Ordnance Survey map at scale 6" to one mile (1838) as a river about a mile in length which rises in Kilcornan townland and enters the sea to the west of Clarinbridge. This river is called Clarinbridge River on the revised edition of the 6" map (1915). On the latter edition, the river which rises in Kilcornan is shown as a branch of the water-course, while the Clarinbridge River runs further from the north-east than Clarin River of the 1838 map.
