Béal Átha na g-ceannaidhe, i.e. mouth of the ford of the merchants. … It lies in the South of Tubride townland and is now called Millbrook from flour Mills now turned by its stream.
The irish still call it Ballynaganny and say it received that name from a yarn market anciently held near the ford. Ceanaidhe with the Irish means a buyer or any merchant in trade(88-89)
